Each time Mama tries to get something done, her baby daughter crawls away to pull books out of the bookcase, play with the dog, and pull pots and pans out of the kitchen cabinet. Mama finally lures Hannah to her lap with a favorite picture book and then puts her down for a nap. Though the ending is abrupt, the bright, colorful illustrations lend a sense of immediacy to mother and baby's interactions.
