When Fish Girl is befriended by a human, she starts to wonder: what would happen if she got out of her fish-tank prison? Wiesner and Napoli create an intriguing, original graphic-novel tale, featuring Wiesner's trademark clean lines and studied details in watercolor panel illustrations.

(4) K-3 Illustrated by David Wiesner. In this "freely adapted" tale, Princess Margaret is turned into a ravenous dragon by her evil stepmother. Only Margaret's brother, who is far from home, can save her, but the wicked queen is determined that he won't succeed. This edition features a revised text; neither the telling nor the art is up to Wiesner's later standards.
