The Metropolitan Museum of Art presents a compendium of familiar Christmas songs accompanied by brief historical notes and illustrated with treasures from the museum's collections. The songs are primarily traditional hymns and carols, although the artwork ranges from medieval to modern. The piano and guitar arrangements are straightforward, if somewhat uninspired; unfortunately, the book doesn't easily lie open on a piano.
