Oller's free-flowing watercolors show piles of pudgy cats yielding patiently to Mrs. Brown's loving attention (including manicures) during the day, only to start throwing confetti, knitting, or working with clay after she has gone to bed. Although the mild ending is disappointing, the rhyming text celebrates the capricious behavior of cats.
