(4) K-3 Illustrated by Tracy Subisak. Using Greek mythological characters' attributes, the story describes a way to make a friend. Cy (Cyclops) builds a chariot and forms a connection with a phoenix. An introductory "Note About Mythological Creatures" provides some context, but the friendship story line is geared toward a very young audience and may require more information from adults. Subisak gives the cartoony creatures lots of personality.
