This volume, rich in photographs, describes various species of eagles in the wild, including habitat, physical features, diet, and behavior. Discussion of eagles' endangered status, their tracking, and conservation is also included. An "Animal Tale: The Eagles' Gift" story is appended. The writing is informative, but the long chapters and lack of a table of contents are drawbacks. Bib., glos., ind.
