Via the motion of her swing, a girl goes on an imaginative airborne journey, beckoning readers to follow. The double-page spreads focus on colors ("I rise, I fall / in purple and gray") until the shades are "all tumbled together" in the leaf-swirling sky; then it's back to solid ground (and home). Tusa's quiet, lyrical text and warm, dreamlike color-washed illustrations are well matched.
