This painterly meditation on dwellings around the world and across time and imagination begins in the country. The setting shifts to a city apartment; back in history to a galleon and a village of wigwams; then to the fanciful (the Old Woman's shoe-house). All choices are warmly inviting. In the end we come full circle, to an artist's studio in that house in the country.
