(4) PS Illustrated by Anni Axworthy. Very brief texts list nine animals, culminating with children, that leap and jump or swim and dive. The active refrain, exposed under the spreads by die-cut pages, finishes each sentence. This repetition gets somewhat irritating, and some sentences feel forced to fit the structure. But the bold, colorful cartoon illustrations with heavy black outlines are just right for the audience.
