Claire (Claire de Lune) attempts to balance her werewolf activities (hunting, magic) with her human ones (dating, school dances). An important examination of her abilities puts a strain on Claire, but the real test comes when she must deal with an acquaintance who's discovered her secret. The denouement is predictable, but Claire's moral dilemma and struggle to belong are believable (if familiar).
