PICTURE BOOKS
(4) K-3 In this quiet, moody bedtime story a child who is afraid of the dark personifies it as Senora Reganona and then befriends her. Though the text offers a creative solution to the familiar problem, the plot could be deeper and more satisfying. The colors Domi uses in her illustrations are striking, but the compositions are a bit confusing. The characters' expressions are gloomy and disturbing at times.
