The Mouse Who Saved Egypt

(4) K-3 Illustrated by Bee Willey. In this takeoff of Aesop's "Lion and the Mouse," the part of the lion is played by an unnamed prince (historical events point to Thutmose IV). The prince frees a trapped mouse who promises to help him in the future. The synthetic-looking illustrations offer mixed results, as the humans don't fit well with the background scenery.
