Ramose has been a mummy for four thousand years. When his mother's body is stolen by grave robbers, Ramose follows her across the desert, over the Atlantic on an ocean liner, and to the New York museum where she is going to be displayed. While the details of this offbeat fantasy won't stand up to much scrutiny, there is some fish-out-of-water humor as Ramose learns modern slang and negotiates traffic.
