INTERMEDIATE FICTION
Morris, Gerald

The Princess, the Crone, and the Dung-Cart Knight

(2) 4-6 A homeless girl witnesses the abduction of Queen Guinevere and Sir Kai, the wife and brother of King Arthur. Sarah travels to Camelot to inform the king, then embarks on a quest to rescue the pair, who are imprisoned at Logres Castle. Though a bit bloodier than earlier volumes in Morris's Arthurian series, this story still features an appealing blend of magic, whimsical humor, and pathos.
