In this over-the-top comedy-drama-mystery told from multiple points of view, each character has a secret; the biggest is the Zing Family Secret. The novel demands careful reading but amply rewards it. Moriarty's book (a revised version of an adult novel) requires a leap of faith, but possesses an intriguing mystery and an immensely witty voice. The result is magically uplifting.
