Fifteen-year-old Miranda finds herself caught between two people she loves when her grandmother bequeaths land to her gardener, eighteen-year-old Adam--land that Miranda's father claims is his own. Adam loves the Florida marsh, which is a sanctuary for wildlife, but Miranda's father intends to sell it to a real-estate developer. Despite the somewhat shallow and stereotypical characterizations, romance and wildlife fans will enjoy the story.
