What's for Lunch?

(4) PS Illustrated by Stephanie Peterson. Seven double-page spreads each feature a big, bold illustration of an animal (panda, rabbit, elephant) with its hands, paws, wings, or feet covering its mouth. Readers pull down the hands (in the form of a large, sturdy flap) to see what each animal is eating for lunch. This age-appropriate concept is marred by a weak text. The lackluster verses are overly long and uneven, yet the preschool audience will enjoy the subject.
