By collecting scat, taking photos and video, and listening to their howls, the team determines that the pack is healthy and thriving. The rather stilted dialogue reads like a science textbook, but the clear text and serviceable mixed-media illustrations effectively convey a sense of the work zoologists do. A description of the scientific method is appended.
