In three short stories, each made up of several chapters and accompanied by black-and-white illustrations, Ella helps make a sign for a new business; discovers a neighbor’s hidden creativity; and goes camping with neighbors at the top of Poppy Hill. The charmingly old-fashioned tales convey a sense of community and warmth that make for an inviting read.
