Going to the Getty: A Book about the Getty Center in Los Angeles

(4) K-3 This stylized introduction to the Getty Center in Los Angeles is visually interesting but tricky to read because the captionlike text gallivants across each page. Although the computer-generated cartoon illustrations, rendered in 1960s appliance colors (mustard, avocado, etc.), deftly incorporate works from the museum, those not already familiar with the Getty won't have the patience to grapple with the book's sophisticated design.
