Fran's Flower

(4) PS Illustrated by Rosalind Beardshaw. Fran finds a flowerpot with a tiny shoot peeking out and wants to see it grow. She tries to feed it pizza and ice cream but nothing happens. Frustrated, Fran throws it outside, never noticing the elements' effects on the abandoned pot until she's greeted by its beautiful flower. Although the story is slight, cheery pastels illustrate familiar feelings of frustration and joy.
