Girls in the Moon

(4) YA While visiting her older sister in New York City, Phoebe confronts her long-absent father and develops feelings for the bassist in her sister's band. Interspersed throughout are vignettes from the marriage and breakup of Phoebe's parents, who were members of a famous band in the nineties. Though this debut novel moves at a ponderous pace, its prose is lyrical.
