In Search of Goliathus Hercules

(4) 4-6 With his ability to speak to insects, ten-year-old Henri Bell begins a dual mission to discover the dangerous beetle Goliathus hercules and track down his missing father. Meanwhile, insect-murdering Mrs. Black dogs his tracks. Surreal elements combine oddly with lighthearted Doctor Doolittle–esque sequences in a plot that tries and discards several settings and rationales before settling on a workmanlike jungle expedition.
