Jackson's Blanket

(3) PS Despite his parents' urging, Jackson refuses to put his trusty old baby blanket aside; its many uses, described in lilting rhymed text and portrayed in agreeable gouache and watercolor pencil illustrations, range from swing to beach towel to pirate cape. In a satisfying resolution, Jackson rescues a stray kitten one winter's day and gives her the blanket to use in her bed.
