Play All Day

(4) PS On alternating double-page spreads, the young narrator describes what he does during the day, then describes what he fantasizes doing. When the wind blows his hat away, he imagines riding a horse to catch it; some bugs inspire dreams of being small enough to enter their world. The story is told in lackluster rhyme, but the vivid gouache paintings are filled with bright patterns and appealing details.
