Something Big

(4) K-3 Illustrated by Ingrid Godon. A boy, "the little one," tells "the big one" (presumably Dad) that he wants to do "something big," so they brainstorm ideas together. Between its long-windedness and its straining for depth, the intended readership may have difficulty getting a toehold; however, the story's concerns and the imaginative art--occasionally abstract, in a restricted palette--show that the book is a substantial project.
