The Big Elephant in the Room

(4) K-3 "Can we talk about the big elephant in the room?" one donkey asks another, who proceeds to take this literal question non-literally (e.g., "Is the big elephant...when I said your clothes were 'interesting'?"). The one-sided mounting hysteria and lack of exposition recall Mo Willems's Pigeon books, but Smith's offering is more mean-spirited, a quality reinforced in the spiky earth-toned art.
