In this follow-up to Millie Fierce, the protagonist hosts a backyard sleepover for her friends. Millie is determined to control her temper and keep herself "fierce-free." She manages to do so until a snarling dog scares her friends (an authorial voice obtrusively ends the narrative with "Sometimes it takes a little ferocity to set things right"). Outdoorsy watercolor illustrations set the scene.
