Unbeknownst to duck Muriel, her sweater is unraveling as she delivers invitations to her birthday party. Luckily, her friends have already been working on the perfect present: a new sweater. The cheery illustrations do a good deal of storytelling; readers can spot hints about the new sweater and chuckle at the uses Muriel's friends find for yarn from the old one.

A rabbit in a hot-air balloon lets loose a net full of balloons, which drift down and fill the streets: "Balloons Balloons Balloons / Blanketing the town." Young rabbits chase their favorites until the rabbit collects the balloons and flies away "to other suns and moons." Pons's illustrations fill in the holes in the scant text, showing the festive atmosphere and the young bunnies' delight.

This is a fanciful tale about a newspaper-publishing mouse who lives in a bicycle shop in Dayton, Ohio, run by the Wright Brothers. Wee stows away on the trip to Kitty Hawk and even manages to sneak a ride on the historic first flight. The story is smoothly told and accompanied by appealing illustrations in watercolors and pastels.

In this sequel to Tickle Tum, a patient mother rabbit uses inventive language ("Scrubba dub dubba / squigga giggle squish") to talk her active young bunny through a bath. A few of the rhymes cloy ("Washy nosie / washy tosies / washy anything / that growsies"), but most are fresh and snappy. Pons's buoyant images capture the affection underneath all of the bubbles.

Grandma Twilly doesn't feel like doing her spring cleaning, but the sound of a mouse in her messy house spurs her into action. After the house has been thoroughly cleaned, the intruder is still there, but Grandma Twilly rejoices anyway, because everything is spick-and-span. The text is repetitive, but the story, with its cheerful, energetic watercolor illustrations, will still inspire chuckles.

"Up up high / touch the sky. / Way down there / munch-time chair. / Whirl aroundsy / sit sit downsy." A mother rabbit feeds her baby supper and puts him down for a nap. An author's note states that this bouncy (sometimes tongue-tripping) rhyme is intended to help make mealtime fun for both caregivers and toddlers. The cozy, cheerful illustrations convey the warm and loving relationship between mother and child.
